Cowboys Men's Tennis Falls to Kansas

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Cowboy tennis team fell to Kansas 2-5 in their final regular season match today at the DuBois Tennis Center.
The Cowboys (9-11, 1-7 Big 12) were led by senior Rob Howarth, who defeated 18th-ranked Luis Uribe 6-3, 6-2 in No. 1 singles. This win was Howarth's sixth singles victory in a row, three of those coming from ranked opponents.
Oklahoma State also got a singles win from Gordon Ryan who defeated Quentin Blakeney 7-6(5), 6-3 at No. 5 singles. The tandem of Marc Paulik and Ryan also recorded a win as they defeated Blakeney and Bryan Maier at No. 3 doubles.
Freshman Matt Prentice was unable to play due to an injury, and Jacques du Toit and Chris Pregler were forced to default at No. 2 doubles due to an injury to Pregler's hand.
Oklahoma State will continue play as the travel to College Station, Texas April 29 to play in the Big 12 tournament.
