Cowboy Doubles Team Ends Season at NCAAs

ATHENS, Ga. - Oklahoma State's Cowboy tennis doubles team of Rob Howarth and Matt Prentice ended their season this afternoon with a loss at the NCAA Championships in Athens, Ga.

The tandem fell to Ed Carter and Jeff Williams of Arizona State, 6-3, 7-6(3) in the first round of the tournament to finish with a 12-7 record on the year. Howarth and Prentice were ranked 36th nationally going into the tournament. To open the season, they defeated then top-ranked Dumitry Caradimo and Shuon Madden of Texas A&M 9-7.
