CAMP GOALS
The primary purposes are to teach young men to develop their skills and improve
their abilities in the finer points of basketball, improve as people, and to
have fun. The camp staff incorporates development of sportsmanship, leadership,
and citizenship.

ELIGIBILITY
Under Big XII and new NCAA rules, any young men ages 6-18, including graduated
seniors, are eligible to participate.
WHAT TO BRING
Campers should bring a one-week supply of t-shirts, gym shorts, atheltic socks,
underwear, and towels. They should also have one sport shirt, one pair of jeans,
one set of bed linens, one pillow, and toilet articles. A camp store will be
available on a limited schedule during Individual Camp for purchases of snacks &
sportswear.
INSURANCE AND PHYSICAL
All campers will be partially covered by a group insurance policy by the camp at
no additional cost. The camper is responsible for primary insurance coverage.
The camp insurance policy will assume secondary coverage. Each applicant must
have a physical check-up by a family physician. Certification of this check-up
must be in the basketball office prior to camp. If the applicant has had a
physical check-up during the past year for participation in school athletics,
then certification of that examination is sufficient. No physicals will be given
by the university nor camp.
COST OF CAMP
The cost of the 1997 Individual Cowboy Basketball Camp is $295 for those staying
overnight and $220 for commuters. Mini Camp fee is $100 (1:00 to 5:00 p.m.). The
$295 fee includes instruction, room and board, and t-shirt. The $220 fee
includes instruction, t-shirt, and three meals per day. A non-refundable deposit
of $100 is due with each application, with the remaining balance to be submitted
upon arrival. NOTE: Deadline for all deposit monies is June 10 for Individual
Camp.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Campers should arrive for the June 14-18 camp on Sunday to register between 3
p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Dormitory complex. No Sunday evening meal nor Thursday
dinner will be served. On arrival, parents are welcome to stay for a 6:00 p.m.
orientation. An awards ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday. Everyone is
welcome. Check out and departure time will immediately follow the ceremony.
Early checkout will not be allowed on Wednesday. Mini-Campers report directly to
the Gallagher-Iba court area to register beginning at 12:30 p.m. on June 9th.
Transportation can be provided from Tulsa and Oklahoma City airports at a cost of $10.00 one way or $20.00 round trip. Advance notice required.
FACILITIES
All campers will be housed in the Willham High-Rise Dormitory. The dorm is
air-conditioned and meals are provided in the dormitory. Pay phones are
available in dorm lobby. Camp sessions and games will be held in Gallagher-Iba
Arena and the OSU Colvin Center. Cowboy Mini Camp will be held in Gallagher-Iba
Arena.
THE STAFF
Oklahoma State Head Basketball Coach Eddie Sutton and his staff are camp
directors. College and high school coaches along with professional and college
players will also work as supervisors and instructors of campers.
