Big 12 Announces Men's Basketball TV Schedule

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State will be on national television at least five times this season, according to the 1998-99 Big 12 Conference Men's Basketball Television Schedule released today.
The Cowboys will appear on ESPN's Big Monday on Feb. 22 at Kansas in a game that figures to have a major bearing on the conference race. OSU will also see national air time on ABC when it plays host to Texas on Sunday, Feb. 14. Oklahoma State will have three other telecasts on ESPN, including a Dec. 22 game at UNLV.
The Big 12's television package, which excludes any preseason tournaments or games on other conference and institutional packages, includes 25 games on network television, including five on ABC and five on CBS. There are 15 games on ESPN, including the championship game of the 1999 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament on March 7 with a 2 p.m. (Central) tipoff.
In addition, the Big 12 syndicated package via ESPN Regional Television, dubbed ESPN+, will feature 38 regular-season games and 10 contests from the 1999 Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament. In all, of the 73 games televised as part of the Big 12 package, 55 of the 96 regular-season conference games will be aired. OSU will appear in six regular-season games on ESPN+.
