Annual Basketball Bash Set for Oct. 24

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma States mens and womens basketball teams will tip off their seasons with the annual Basketball Bash on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Doors open two hours following the OSU-OU football game, which is currently scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. The Bash will feature fan contests, scrimmages by the two teams, player introductions and several other events.
Jennifer Crow, an honorable mention All-Big 12 member last year, returns as the Cowgirls leading scorer. Seniors on the team include Kourtney Bower, Megan Gregg, Nikki Harmon and Shelly Jackson.
Adrian Peterson, a preseason player-of-the-year candidate in the Big 12, is the only senior on the Cowboys squad. Preseason publications have picked OSU as high as eighth nationally, largely based on the Cowboys four returning starters.
The Cowgirls face their first outside competition Friday, Nov. 6, when they host an exhibition against a Sports Tours team. The mens basketball team plays host to the California All-Stars on Monday, Nov. 10.
