Oklahoma Completes Action at ITA Rolex Championship

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma's Kristin Guilford upset fifth seed Jana Sidovic of Tulsa, 6-1, 6-2, Friday at the ITA Rolex Championship in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Eccles Tennis Center. Guilford was eliminated in the quarterfinal of the consolation bracket with a 6-1, 6-0 lost to Boise State's Renate Stoup.
In doubles action, Sooners Viviana Mracnova and Angela Stroup defeated seventh seed Nadine Kenzelman and Dominique Lemperle of Colorado, 8-2. The duo advanced to the quarterfinals of the main draw before losing to BYU's Elizoveta Khoudoiarova and Dominique Reynolds, 8-2.
OU's Angela Stroup and Jennie Hamilton also competed in the consolation bracket in singles on Friday. Stroup lost to New Mexico's Ashley Hedberg in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, and Hamliton was defeated by Kansas' Chrisit Wagner, 6-3, 6-1.
