Crow Leads Women's Hoops Past Oral Roberts, 68-51

NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma State senior Jennifer Crow scored a career-high 26 points and two other Cowgirls scored in double figures as OSU defeated Oral Roberts, 68-51, in the Bertha Teague women's basketball classic here Monday night.
Sophomore Kara Faulk tied a season high with 15 points while freshman Chantoya Hawkins pitched in 10. Junior Tari Cummings pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
Oklahoma State took a seven-point lead with 8:52 remaining in the first half on a jumper by Crow. The two teams see-sawed back and forth during the period, with OSU regaining the seven-point margin at halftime, 31-24.
Crow hit a three-pointer from the corner 1:12 into the second half to put the lead into double-digits, and the Cowgirls increased the lead to 15 on two occasions, the second at the 13:43 mark.
The Golden Eagles got the deficit down into single digits three times, the last being a nine-point margin at 52-43 with 7:32 remaining. But, OSU's Jessica Spinner scored six points over the next three minutes to put ORU away for good.
Crow set an OSU school record when she hit her 29th- and 30th-consecutive free throwsat the 12:02 mark of the first stanza. She broke the previous record of 28, set by Jamie Siess during the 1987-88 season. The Corn, Okla., native then missed her 31st attempt.
ORU's Krista Ragan led the Golden Eagles with 15 points of 7-of-18 shooting. Crow missed another personal best as she hit 5-of-9 three pointers, one shy of her career mark. Faulk was 9-of-10 from the charity stripe.
The Cowgirls (3-2) will host the Southwest Missouri State Bears (2-1) on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena. SMS is coming off an 81-42 drubbing of Baylor last Saturday.
