STILLWATER, Okla. - Tickets are still available for this weekend's America's Youth Classic sponsored by the Eddie G. Robinson Foundation.
The Classic takes place Nov. 19-20 at Gallagher-Iba Arena and will feature the Oklahoma State and Oral Roberts men's basketball teams, in their season-opening games, facing Appalachian State and Idaho. ORU, with first-year head coach Scott Sutton in his regular-season debut, plays Idaho in the opener Friday, Nov. 19, at 6:20 p.m., and OSU hosts Appalachian State at 8:40. On Saturday, ORU plays Appalachian State at 6 p.m., followed by OSU vs. Idaho at 8:30.
"I don't think people understand what a great opportunity they have to see our basketball team play this weekend," said OSU coach Eddie Sutton. "The teams we are playing are outstanding ballclubs, and I think our fans who aren't able to get season tickets will enjoy all four games. Of course, I'm excited to see Oral Roberts University's first regular-season game with my son Scott as coach, and both Appalachian State and Idaho have been picked to reach the NCAA Tournament."
Current season-ticket holders already have the America's Youth Classic in their ticket packages. However, the Classic is not included on the student ticket package, and all fans may purchase reserved-seat tickets at $20 per night (two games each night). Students may purchase the same tickets for $15 per night. Persons interested in purchasing tickets may call the OSU athletics ticket office at (877) ALL-4-OSU or (405) 744-5745.
Ranked 23rd in the latest Associated Press poll, Oklahoma State closes its exhibition season Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. against Global Sports.
