Cowboys Complete Second Day Of Action At Hurricane Invitational

TULSA, Okla. - The OSU men's tennis squad suffered a series of setbacks on day two of the Hurricane Invitational in Tulsa. The team dropped seven of nine matches, including all three in the "B" Flight, to the University of Arkansas.
Matt Prentice and Chris Bates both lost their matches in three sets in "A" Flight competition, Bates' coming by a slim 7-6, 6-7, 6-7 margin. OSU's Fran Krepelka defeated the Razorbacks' John Deaton in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1.
In Flight "B", Jeremy Ewert lost in three sets, while Jochen Geiger and Matt Streeter both lost in two sets.
In doubles competition, the Cowboys lost a pair of close decisions and posted a win, as Matt Prentice and Chris Bates defeated Henrik Tofft and John Deation, 8-3.
The Cowboys will conclude tournament play Sunday at noon against conference rival, Kansas.
