Cowgirls Win Shootout At The Legends

FRANKLIN, Ind. - Oklahoma State's 16th-ranked women's golf team won the Shootout at the Legends here Tuesday afternoon, carding a three-round score of 873. That total is the lowest ever in the history of the program, and defeated second-place Northwestern by 19 strokes.
Junior Maria Boden won the individual title with a 215, the lowest score of her three-year career. Freshman Christi Cano, a San Antonio product, finished second with a 217. Both scores rank in the top 15 all-time at OSU.
OSU senior Natasha Rowe finished sixth individually with a 221, while freshman Linda Wessberg tied for seventh with a 222. Tulsa-native JoAnn Heller carded a 226, good for a tie for 18th place, and sophomore Emma Zackrisson jumped 20 spots from 51st to 31st with a par 72 on the final day.
Oklahoma State will next compete in the final tournament of the fall season, the Roadrunner Invitational, Nov. 1-3, in Las Cruces, N.M.
