Cowgirl Olszewska Dominates On Final Day Of Hurricane Invitational

TULSA, Okla. - Cowgirl netter Dominika Olszewska highlighted a stellar weekend of play for the OSU tennis team on Sunday at the Hurricane Invitational in Tulsa.
The sophomore from Poland capped an outstanding performance by capturing the Flight 1 singles crown with a straight set victory over Tulsa's Aleksandra Durska. Olszewska did not drop a set en route to her second title of the weekend.
In addition to her singles title, Olszewska teamed with Marketa Chmelova to win the Flight 1 doubles title on Saturday.
"I was very pleased with her (Olszewska's) performance. Her opponent in the finals was very tough, but Dominika was very focused and played outstanding," Cowgirl coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski said.
In addition to Olszewska, the Cowgirls had two other finalists competing on Sunday.
Sophomore Ashleigh Dolman dropped a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 decision to Southern Methodist's Katie Pruett in the Flight 3 singles. In Flight 5 action, freshman Erin Pauchnik lost to Missouri's Jelena Kocergin in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
