Returning to the Oklahoma State coaching staff for his third year as a volunteer assistant in 2018 is Michael O’Hare.
In his first season with the program, O’Hare was part of a Cowgirl staff that was honored as the United Soccer Coaches South Region Staff of the Year after the helping OSU claim a Big 12 regular season championship and post 16 wins.
A native of Oklahoma City, O’Hare graduated from Oklahoma State with a psychology degree in May 2015.
O’Hare has several years of coaching experience at the club and high school levels in his home state. He has helped coach multiple teams in the Stillwater Soccer Club since 2012, and he joined the Oklahoma Olympic Development Program Staff in 2016 as a Region III state team coach.
Also a six-year member of the coaching staff at Stillwater High School, O’Hare helped lead the Pioneers to four state tournament appearances, including a Class 6A state runner-up finish in 2017. He served as an Oklahoma High School All-State coach in 2011 and 2016.
O’Hare holds National “C”, “D” and “E” licenses from the United States Soccer Federation and also Goalkeeping Level I-III licenses from the National Coaches Association of America.
A graduate of Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School, O’Hare played on three district championship teams and a state title winner as a prep and was named an all-state goalkeeper in 2010. He was also a part of the OFC ’92 program.
