Talexa owns all of those traits. Not only that, but she is also a versatile player who was one of the country’s most efficient scorers last year. She can stretch the floor and shoot, but also loves physicality around the rim. She will create mismatches for opponents and bring a competitiveness that our fans will love!"
At Fort Hays State (2023-26): Played for DII Fort Hays State for her first three collegiate seasons, where she saw the court in 75 games with 31 starts… Averaged double-digit points per game in her final two seasons, nearly doubling her sophomore season production (14.6 ppg) with her historic 27.5 points per game mark in 2026… Grabbed 6.0 and 8.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore and junior, respectively… Holds a career 51.8% shooting percentage from the field, 37.9% from three and 79.4% from the free throw line… Named the 2026 D2CCA Ron Lenz Player of the Year after piecing together a historic junior campaign that saw her lead NCAA Division II in scoring with 27.5 points per game, a mark that ranked second across the whole NCAA… Also named the 2026 MIAA and D2CCA Central Region Player of the Year and earned a pair of first team All-America honors… Broke the MIAA scoring record with 852 points and is the first player in MIAA history with more than 800 points in a season… That total is the 13th-best tally in a season in DII history and the most by a DII student-athlete since 2018… Scored in double figures in all 31 games as a junior, with 26 games with 20+ and 12 contests with at least 30 points… Tallied a pair of 40-point performances, including a 46-point outburst in the first round of the NCAA Central Regional to match the school’s single-game record… Logged 10 double-doubles on the season… Ranked third in the MIAA with her 8.9 rebounds per outing and was second among league players in field-goal percentage (51.5%)… Picked up MIAA Player of the Week honors on five occasions as a junior… Named to the All-MIAA Honorable Mention and MIAA All-Tournament teams as a sophomore… Played in 33 games where she averaged 14.6 points and 6.0 boards per game… Shot 53% from the floor and ranked ninth in the league with 32 blocked shots… Notched three double-doubles that year… Played in 11 contests as a freshman, averaging 7.0 minutes per outing.
High School: Three-time All-State selection and two-time state champion at Goodland HS… Named the KBCA Miss Kansas Basketball as a senior in 2023… Tabbed the Class 3A Player of the Year from the Wichita Eagle and Sports in Kansas in 2023… Helped the Cowgirls to back-to-back Kansas Class 3A state titles, the first such championships for Goodland HS in over 40 years… Scored a school-record 1,639 points in her career (16.9 ppg), including a school-record 608 points (23.4 ppg) as a senior… Nabbed 550 career rebounds and added 221 steals… Also earned all-conference honors twice in volleyball.
Personal: A native of Goodland, Kan… Daughter of Pamela and Tracy Weeter… Has five siblings, three brothers and two sisters… Enjoys cooking, playing pickleball and hanging out with friends in her spare time… Majoring in sports marketing.
