Entering his second season with the Cowgirl program is Brock McGinnis, who serves as its video coordinator.
“Even at a young age, Brock brings a wealth of experience at from both the coaching and video aspects of the game,” Littell said. “His work ethic and attention to detail will be tremendous assets to our game preparation.”
From 2013-15, McGinnis was an assistant video coordinator for the Cowboy basketball squad. While working with the OSU men’s squad, McGinnis completed his master’s degree in leisure studies.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to return Stillwater and work with such an experienced, successful staff,” McGinnis said. “I look forward to helping Coach Littell and the Cowgirl program strive for continued success.”
Last season, McGinnis worked as an assistant coach for the men’s program at Allen Community College in Iola, Kan. He spent the 2015-16 campaign as an assistant video coordinator for the NBA’s Toronto Raptors.
McGinnis was a member of the Ottawa (Kan.) University basketball team from 2008-2012. He competed for three seasons under head coach Andy Carrier before serving as a student assistant during his senior year after suffering a career-ending injury.
After graduating with his bachelor’s degree from Ottawa in December of 2012, McGinnis earned his master’s degree from OSU in the spring of 2015.
Born May 26, 1989, McGinnis is the son of Monte and Julie McGinnis. He has one sister, Whitney, and one brother, Braden. He and his wife, Megan, were married in 2018.
