2014-15: One of the Cowgirls’ strongest defensive presences … Started in 35 games, all behind the plate … Gunned down nine runners in 23 attempts … only allowed three passed balls in 37 appearances … Hit .133 with ten base-hits, 8 RBIs and one home run … Blasted her lone longball against Evansville on March 7 … Tacked on a double against North Texas on April 29.
2013-14: Made 51 starts for the Cowgirls ... Provided a solid defensive presence at catcher, only committing two errors all season ... Registered seven hits in 39 at-bats, with one extra base hits

A four-year starter at catcher ... as a senior, she batted .500 and had 14 stolen bases ... dominant behind the plate, a runner did not have a successful steal on her the entire season ... as a junior, she hit .496 while capturing school records in home runs (nine) and RBIs (60) ... led her team to conference championships in 2011 and 2012 ... named first-team All-State her junior year ... named MVP, all-conference and all-area all four years.
Personal
Born May 30, 1995, Miranda is the daughter of Tom and Michelle Cavin. She has an older sister, Briana, and a younger sister, Calista. Miranda is majoring in nutritional sciences in dietetics at Oklahoma State.
