Bio
2015-16:
- Earned three starts for the Cowgirls and saw action in 39 of the 58 games.
- Was named to the All-Big 12 Academic First team for the second-consecutive year and was one of just six in the conference to finish with the coveted 4.0 GPA.
- Finished with a .156 batting average on five hits and four runs on the season.
- Tied for a team-best 1.000 fielding percentage in the outfield.
- Went 1-for-1 with an important solo home run in the top of the seventh to give Oklahoma State an 11-9 win over Kansas May 7 in Lawrence, Kan.
2014-15:Â
- Made 25 starts in 24 appearances, switching between shortstop, second base and designated player
- Hit .186 with 16 runs scored, 8 RBIs and a .437 on-base percentage
- Was instrumental in the Cowgirls’ win over UMKC in the Mizuno Classic championship game, going 3-for-3 with a double, 2 RBIs and a sacrifice fly
- Hit her first home run in a Cowgirl uniform against Kansas, giving OSU a 6-5 lead late in the contest
- Only committed one error in the field all season
- Led the Cowgirls with 9 HBP.
2013-14:
- Made 30 appearances for the Cowgirls, including one start
- Produced one hit in four at-bats, delivering an RBI single
- Also stole one base on her only attempt.
2012-13 (at Savannah State):
- A shortstop and a third baseman, started 46 games as a freshman at Savannah State
- Batted .329 with 42 runs scored and 22 RBIs.
High School:
- A four-year starter, set the school records for batting average (.569) and hits (57) during her senior season
- Named team captain during her junior and senior season
- Named first-team all-league and team MVP
- Went to the Class 4A State Tournament four straight years
- Finished fourth in the state in 2012.
Personal: Born May 11, 1994, Michaela is the daughter of Brian and Amy Patton. She has an older sister, Lindsay, and a younger sister, Audrey. Michaela played soccer for six years and participated in gymnastics for three. Her father played baseball at Seattle University and in the Oakland Athletics organization. She is studying psychology at Oklahoma State.
