Claire Williams is entering her fifth season as an athletic trainer at Oklahoma State, and during her time she has worked with a variety of sports, but has spent much of her time around the Cowgirl softball program.
Williams has been vital to Oklahoma State’s reemergence into the national spotlight, as her skill as a trainer has helped the Cowgirls maintain their fitness and remain both fresh and competitive on the field.
During her tenure, she has helped players recover and rehab from a variety of injuries. From everyday stingers to strains and sprains, Williams has handled it all.
One of her most notable displays as an athletic trainer was helping senior pitcher Whitney Whitehorn recover twice from torn labrums in her hips. Under her guidance, Whitehorn returned to pitch in 2017 after missing the 2016 Â season due to injury.
Prior to her arrival in Stillwater, Williams earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training at Northern Arizona University in 2011. She also earned a master’s degree from Arizona State in 2014.
