2023 Outdoors
Nickell had his best season yet with the Cowboys during the outdoor campaign… Earned a second-place finish in the 1,500 Meters and set a personal best in the 800 Meters with a time of 1:55.71 at the Sooner Invitational… Won the John Jacobs Invitational 1,500 Meter race… At the Big 12 Championships, Nickell set personal bests in both the 1,500 Meters and 5K, finishing 11th and 12th with times of 3:45.08 and 14:47.44, respectively.
2023 Indoors
Competed at three meets indoors… Set a personal best in the Mile at the Arkansas Qualifier with a time of 4:12.71.
2022 Cross Country
Competed in two races for OSU… Kicked off the season with his first 5K at the Cowboy Preview, tabbing a 16:20.5 time… Followed that up with a 26:28.9 8K time at the Weis-Crockett Invitational.
2022 Outdoors
Appeared three times in the 1,500 Meters during the outdoor campaign… Set his personal best in his season opener at the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark… Also ran at the John Jacobs Invitational and Arkansas Twilight meets.
2022 Indoors
Competed at four meets for the Cowboys… Opened his season with a top-10 finish in the 1,000 Meters at the Wooo Pig Classic… Earned a third-place finish in the 3,000 Meters at the Red Raider Open with a personal-best time of 8:44.17.
2021 Cross Country
Competed at the Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, finishing with an 8K time of 28:14.8..
2020 Cross Country
Raced twice for the Pokes in his debut cross country season… placed 56th at the Cowboy Jamboree in a personal best 26:02.8 pace… finished 74th at the OSU Invitational.
2020 Indoors
Competed in three events — 1,000m, mile and 3,000m… placed second in the mile at the J.D. Martin Invitational with a time of 4:23.84… was third in the 3,000m at the Arkansas Qualifier, crossing the line in 8:46.84.
High School
Attended MacArthur High School in Lawton, Okla. … Was a four-time state champion, including titles during his senior season… Won the 1,600 meters 5A state title in 2017 and 2019, also won the 800 meters and 3,200 meters in 2019… Was the state cross country 5A runner-up in 2017 and 2018.
