Bill Clay

Bill Clay has spent nearly a half-century coaching football and has served as defensive coordinator at seven Division I schools, including Oklahoma State from 2001-04.Â
He joined the OSU staff as a defensive analyst in February of 2015 after being out of football for three seasons.Â
During his distinguished career, Clay held the defensive coordinator title at Southern Mississippi, SMU, Temple, Mississippi State, UTEP, UAB and Oklahoma State. Additionally, he served as an assistant at Virginia, Virginia Tech, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Louisiana Tech, Texas A&M, Samford and Blinn College.
Clay is a native of Marianna, Ark., and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1963. He was a two-year letterman for the Razorbacks.
Personal
Clay and his wife, Marimarlene, have four grown daughters, Christina Long, Kimberly Bennett, Amanda Donohue and Kelly Atwood.
