Former Canadian college standout transitions to NCAA basketball in his final year of eligibility after three seasons and a national runner-up finish at Queens University in Ontario.

“Mikey is a great young man who has competed and excelled at the highest level of Canadian university basketball. He’s long, athletic and shoots the three well. He has only been playing basketball since his junior year of high school but has already had a great deal of success, including a run to Canada’s national championship game. We’re excited to have him join the Cowboy Family this year.”
At Queens University (2020-24):
Attended Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada for four years and was a three-year member of the basketball team (freshman season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic), helping the Gaels to three straight national quarterfinal appearances in Canada’s March Madness equivalent, the USPORTS Final 8… Averaged 10.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks as a senior for a team that finished 30-6, won the OUA Wilson Cup (Ontario’s provincial conference title) and reached the national championship game. It was the school’s best-ever finish in the national tournament and its first conference title since 1952… Knocked down 2.2 threes on 39.6% accuracy during the regular season… Finished with a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds) and made a game-tying three-pointer with 72 seconds left in the Wilson Cup final… Started 26 games as a junior for a team finished 27-8.
High School:
A 2020 graduate of Holy Cross Catholic Secondary… Started playing basketball as a junior following a growth spurt.
Personal:
Born Oct. 3… Son of Michael and Phillippa Kelvin… Has four younger siblings (three sisters and a brother… Plans to major in University Studies at OSU.
