Suited up for five races during the season, all of which were 6,000-meter competitions ... Season-best mark was a 21:32.9 at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind., where she finished 76th ... Was 30th at the Big 12 Championships with a 22:08.65 and placed 34th at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship with a 21:55.65 ... Her 21:48 at the Cowboy Jamboree was good for a 14th-place finish at the event ... Was timed at 22:41 at the Iowa State Open to finish 14th.
2008 Outdoors: NCAA qualifier in the 5000 meters, running a 17:21.42 at the NCAA meet to place 17th ... Ran the 5000 meters and the 10000 meters during the outdoor season, setting a season best 16:46.09 in the 5000 meters at the Sam Howell Invitational and a 34:33.62 in the 10000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays ... Fifth-place finisher in the 10000 meters at the Big 12 Championships, where she was clocked at 36:52.70 ... 2008 Indoors: Ran in distance events at three indoor meets, with her most impressive mark coming in the 5,000 meters at the Big 12 Championships, where she ran a 16:54.81 to finish sixth in the race and score for the Cowgirls ... Her 16:54.81 set the sixth-fastest indoor mark in Oklahoma State history ... Set a season-best in the 3,000 meters when she ran a 9:51.86 at the Big 12 Championships ... Competed in the 1,000 meters (3:11.04) and the mile (5:10.68) at the J.D. Martin Invitational.
2007 Cross Country: Sustained an injury late in the season that kept her out of the Big 12 Championships ... Her 21:45 at the NCAA Midwest Regional set a season best and was good for a 55th-place finish in the race ... Ran in three races during the regular season, clocking a season-best 17:46 at the 5000 meter Notre Dame Invitational to place 42nd and running a 17:53 at the Boston College Invitational to place 15th ... Both of those marks rank among the top 65 times ever run in a 5,000 meter race at Oklahoma State ... Ran a 22:02 at the 6000 meter Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival to place 36th overall and second among OSU runners at the meet.
2007 Outdoors: Hjalmarsen competed in two events, placing 10th in her section of the 10,000-meter run at the Stanford University Invitational and sixth and 11th in the 10,000- and 5,000-meter runs, respectively at the Big 12 Championships.
2007 Indoors: Hjalmarsen ran the 5,000-meter run twice and the 3,000-meter run once. Her best finish was fifth in the 5,000-meter run at the Meyo Invitational. She placed eighth and eleventh at the Big 12 championships in the 5,000- and 3,000-meter runs, respectively.
2006 Cross Country: 2006 Hurricane Cross Country Festival Champion with an 11:26 at the two-mile event ... Finished 10th at the 5000-meter Cowboy Jamboree with an 18:10 ... Clocked in at 21:26 at the 6000-meter NCAA Pre-Nationals to finish 70th ... Her 22:07 at the 6000-meter Big 12 Championships was good for 22nd place and her 22:10 at the 6000-meter NCAA Midwest Regional placed her 38th.
High School: Three-time Norwegian junior national champion in the 3000-meter run ... 5000-meter run and half-marathon champion her senior year ... In her final indoor season, she placed second in the 3000-meter run at the national meet ... During the outdoor season, she also finished third in the 1500-meter run at the national meet.
