Rob Glass to Receive Merv Johnson Integrity in College Coaching Award

STILLWATER – Rob Glass, Oklahoma State's Assistant Athletic Director for Athlete Performance, has been named the recipient of the 2026 Merv Johnson Integrity in College Coaching Award, announced this week by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
The award is presented annually to an esteemed coach from any level in Oklahoma and recognizes them for their outstanding career as a coach, educator and community leader.
Now in his 31st year at Oklahoma State and 41st year in college strength and conditioning, Glass has been a central figure in the success of OSU Athletics for decades.
A 1984 graduate of Oklahoma State, Glass is one of the most recognized and preeminent strength and conditioning experts in college athletics.
During his career, Glass has worked with two Heisman Trophy winners (Barry Sanders and Danny Wuerffel), a Golden Spikes Award winner (Robin Ventura), a Doak Walker Award winner (Ollie Gordon II), a Thorpe Award winner (Lawrence Wright), three Biletnikoff Award winners (Justin Blackmon twice and James Washington) a Lou Groza Award winner (Dan Bailey) a Ray Guy Award winner (Matt Fodge) and a Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner (Mason Rudolph) in addition to 19 first-round NFL draft picks and three first-round NBA draft picks as well as countless All-Americans and Olympians.
He has also worked directly with six coaches who are in their sports' respective halls of fame, including Eddie Sutton, Bill Self, Billy Donovan, Steve Spurrier, Bob Stoops and Gary Ward.
Glass was instrumental in the development of All-Americans Barry Sanders, Thurman Thomas, Jason Gildon, Dez Bryant, Kendall Hunter, Brandon Pettigrew, Russell Okung, Justin Blackmon, Levy Adcock, Quinn Sharp, Justin Gilbert, Emmanuel Ogbah, James Washington, Mason Rudolph, Tre Flowers, Tylan Wallace, Chuba Hubbard, Malcolm Rodriguez, Kolby Harvell-Peel, Matt Hembrough, Jason Taylor II and Ollie Gordon II.
A Master Strength and Conditioning Coach, Glass was honored as the 1994 NSCA Big Eight Strength Coach of the Year, has served on the board of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) for nine years.
In addition to his work in college athletics, Glass has run the powerlifting meet at the Special Olympics Oklahoma Summer Games for 25 years. The event is one of the largest Special Olympics gatherings in the country.
Glass will be honored with the Merv Johnson Integrity in College Coaching Award at the All-Sports and Scholar Athletes Awards Ceremony, held at the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame on Thursday, June 25, at 2 p.m. The award recipients, their family and friends, and school coaches and administrators are invited to attend the private awards ceremony.
