Oklahoma State from a Distance
Oklahoma State Softball is playing some of the best softball of any team in the country and has placed itself square into the mix for a national seed in the NCAA Softball Tournament. On the season, the Pokes hold 11 wins over ranked opponents, including four wins over opponents ranked in the Top 10 of the RPI. OSU averages 6.33 runs per game, which would set a new program record if the season ended today.
Two-time All-American Ruby Meylan has cemented her place as one of the nation's top pitchers as she's won each of her last 17 decisions and leads all Power Four pitchers in innings pitched (213.2) while ranking second in the NCAA in wins (26). She ranks in the top 10 among all DI active players in career pitching appearances (157, third), innings pitched (727.0, fifth) and strikeouts (782, seventh) and is piecing together another All-America-level season.
Veterans Claire Timm, Rosie Davis, Amanda Hasler and Tia Warsop have been playing at an All-Region level, with Timm and Warsop ranking among the top 30 in the conference in batting average and on-base percentage, and Davis and Hasler combining for 47 extra-base hits and 97 RBI (33.2% of OSU's RBI production).
