Cowgirl Tennis Set to Host Pair of Conference Matches

The Basics
No. 26 Oklahoma State remains home to face No. 25 TCU on Friday at 5 p.m. before hosting No. 36 Baylor on Sunday at noon. The Cowgirls are 4-1 in conference play and are coming off a win over No. 62 Kansas State. TCU is 11-2 and coming off a win against Iowa State, but dropped its first conference match to No. 48 Kansas before that. Baylor has won four-straight, picking up wins against Cincinnati, West Virginia, Iowa State and No. 48 Kansas in that stretch.

Oklahoma State appeared at No. 26 in this week's ITA team rankings and is one of 13 Big 12 teams to be ranked. Arizona State (13), UCF (19), TCU (25), Texas Tech (29), Arizona (35), Baylor (36), Houston (40), Utah (44), Kansas (40), BYU (53), Colorado (56) and Kansas State (62) were the other Big 12 teams to make appearances this week. In the individual singles rankings, Rose Marie Nijkamp came in at to No. 27, while Olivia Lincer appeared at No. 74 and Lucia Peyre checked in at No. 76. In the doubles poll, Nijkamp and Anastasiya Komar rose to No. 12.

She joins her older sister and reigning Big 12 Player of the Year, Olivia Lincer. Olivia holds records of 8-2 in singles and 8-1 in doubles to this point. Olivia joined the Cowgirls through the transfer portal after two years at UCF. Freshman Luca Udvardy has been a standout for Oklahoma State this season, posting records of 7-1 in singles and 9-0 in doubles. The freshman from Hungary is currently riding a six-match win streak in singles.

Oklahoma State has won the doubles point in 10 matches this season, posting an overall record of 20-2 in doubles matches. OSU has won the doubles point in six-consecutive matches and will look to extend its streak to seven and eight on Friday and Sunday.
