Cowgirl Tennis Handles Cincinnati

STILLWATER— Oklahoma State's No. 26 ranked women's tennis team completed an undefeated weekend with a 4-1 win over Cincinnati on Sunday at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Cowgirls are now 5-4 and 3-1 in conference play, and they have wins in back-to-back matches for the first time since ITA Kickoff Weekend on Jan. 23-24, when they beat Wichita State and Texas Tech.
Just as they did on Friday against West Virginia, OSU took the doubles point for the seventh time this season. The No. 24 pair of Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp improved to 6-1 on the season with a 6-0 win over Rozalia Gruszczynska and Anastasija Arsic.
Olivia Lincer and Luca Udvardy accounted for the other doubles win, beating Sakurako Watanabe and Milica Popovski, 6-0, to clinch the point. The Cowgirls forfeited court three due to player availability.
In singles, Udvardy extended her win streak to five when she beat Arsic, 6-4, 6-1. No. 40 Lincer was the next to finish as she defeated Gabrielle Guenther, 6-0, 6-2, improving to 7-1 on the season.
Komar clinched the match for the Cowgirls with a win over Gruszczynska, 6-4, 7-5. Two courts went unfinished, No. 24 Nijkamp led Watanabe 6-4, 5-5, while Melisa Ercan led Tara Kurepa 6-2, 5-3. OSU forfeited court six due to player availability.
The Cowgirls hit the road next weekend, beginning with a bout against No. 23 Texas Tech on Friday at 4 p.m., before taking on No. 74 Colorado on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
