Â
The Basics
Oklahoma State's sixth-ranked equestrian team will host Big 12 rival Fresno State at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The two programs last met on November 21 in Fresno, where the Cowgirls edged out the Bulldogs in tie breaking fashion. OSU comes into Friday riding a six-meet winning streak. Fresno State sits at 4-3 but will compete at TCU on Thursday leading up to Friday's meet.
About the Cowgirls                                                           Â
Head coach Larry Sanchez, in his 27th year at the helm, leads the Cowgirls alongside seventh-year assistant Laura Brainard, first-year assistant Ashley Duda and Jody Brainard, who is in his third year with the program and first as an assistant coach.
Senior Send Off                                                            Â
Friday's meet will also serve as Senior Day for the Cowgirls, who will honor 10 student-athletes with a post-meet ceremony and celebration. Oklahoma State will recognize seniors Tristan Bagby, Abby Budd, Kelly Coonce, Lily Corbin, Ellie DuPuis, Cadence Kueker, Avery Langley, Maddie Milo, June Roberson and Zoe Williams.
Going Streaking                                                           Â
After dropping its season opener at TCU, Oklahoma State has responded with six consecutive victories to improve to 6-1. The streak is the longest active run in the NCEA and marks the program's longest since its championship-winning stretch at the end of the 2021–22 season. The surge includes four Big 12 wins, highlighted by a pair of victories over Baylor and additional conference triumphs against TCU and Fresno State.
Conference Leaders                                                      Â
The Cowgirls boast a 4-1 conference record, placing them atop the Big 12. On March 27-28, Stillwater will host the Big 12 Championship where Oklahoma State will try to win its sixth-straight conference title.
