Olivija Vaitaityte sets program record in Pentathlon as OSU Indoor Track & Field wraps successful first day of split-meet weekend
January 30, 2026 | Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men's and women's indoor track & field enjoyed a successful first day of a split-meet weekend at the Razorback and DeLoss Dodds Invitational meets, headed by Olivija Vaitaityte, who set a new program record in the women's Pentathlon.
In Manhattan, Kan., at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational, the Cowgirls got off to a hot start with the first event of the day in the Pentathlon. Senior Olivija Vaitaityte took second in the women's Pentathlon with an impressive total of 4,167 points, breaking her own program record of 4,162 points set at the Razorback Invitational in 2024.
Fellow senior Annie Molenhouse, who competed unattached, followed suit with a powerful performance of her own, earning a personal-best score of 4,107 points, which moved her up to fourth on the program's all-time list in her third-place performance in the competition.
Sophomore Cooper Moore started the day off strong on the men's side with an impressive showing in the men's Heptathlon, breaking two of his personal best records in the Shot Put and High Jump.
He finished the first day of competition with a total score of 2,960 points and a seventh-place position. Crayton Shaw finished the day with 2,629 points and sits in 15th place. Moore and Shaw will close out the heptathlon tomorrow with the 60 Meter Hurdles, Pole Vault and 1,000 Meters.
The men's Long Jump Invite saw a host of Cowboy competitors. Senior and NCAA Outdoor Runner-Up Blair Anderson made his first indoor appearance of 2026 and took third with a personal-best distance of 7.70 meters. He is one of two Cowboys to ever surpass the 7.70-meter mark in the Men's Long Jump, preceded only by Olympian Jacob Fincham-Dukes' performance of 7.99 meters at the Big 12 Championships in 2019.
True freshman Kevin Kemboi, fresh off his record-breaking performance in the Triple Jump one week ago, switched to the Long Jump this week and leapt into the program's all-time list once again. Kemboi placed fifth in a loaded field with a mark of 7.48 meters, good enough for fourth in program history.
Over in Arkansas at the Razorback Invitational, the 800 Meters ruled the day for the Cowboys and Cowgirls, with 20 OSU athletes competing.
On the men's side, senior Hafez Mahadi placed fourth overall in a packed field with his time of 1:47.85. Right behind him was teammate Pradeep Kumar, who broke the Indian National Record in the 800 Meters with his time of 1:48.09, which also moved him up to third in OSU history.
For the Cowgirls, the freshman trio of Paige Stuart, Brooke Beck and Kadence Huck stole the show, with Stuart clocking the tenth-fastest time in Cowgirl history at 2:06.56 and the latter pair each winning the heat with wire-to-wire performances.
However, the performance of the day for the OSU women in Arkansas came in the Distance Medley Relay. The Cowgirl quartet of Kaylie Politza, Kalen Goodman, Elyse Wilmes and Billah Jepkirui dominated the proceedings with their winning time of 10:47.84, nearly four seconds faster than the eight other teams in the field. The 2024 NCAA Indoor Mile Runner-Up, Jepkirui looked like her dominant self after a redshirt 2025 campaign with a 4:27.49 1,600-meter anchor leg as she took the lead and gapped the field with two laps to go. The Cowgirls' winning time was just shy of the school record and currently sits second in the NCAA this season.
OSU returns to action tomorrow for the second and final day of festivities at both meets. Action resumes in Arkansas at 9:55 a.m. CT and is streamed live on SEC Network+. The DeLoss Dodds Invitational resumes at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
