OSU Track & Field returns to indoor circuit for split-meet weekend

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men's and women's indoor track & field returns to action Friday with separate groups heading to Kansas State for the Thane Baker Invitational and Oklahoma for the Owen Hewett Invitational.
Friday's meet mark the first time during the 2025-26 indoor season that every event group will be in action. The Cowboys are coming off a historic 2024-25 season in which they placed fifth at the NCAA Indoor Championships, the program's highest finish since 1965 (2nd). Brian Musau earned his first career individual national title in the 5,000 Meters, with Fouad Messaoudi (4th, Mile), Denis Kipngetich (5th, 5,000 Meters), Musau (5th, 3,000 Meters) and the men's Distance Medley Relay (6th) all earning first team All-America honors.
At the Thane Baker Invitational in Kansas, most of the OSU middle-distance group will be kicking off their seasons in off events, including the 600 Yards and 1,000 Meters. Kaylie Politza and Madi Surber will be competing in the fastest section of the women's 1,000 Meters, with Alex Riley and Oliver Patton doing so on the men's side. Notably, former Cowgirl Olympian Gabija Galvydyte will also be competing in the women's 1K to open her indoor campaign. In the 600 Yards, Isis Grant will be competing in the fast section for the Cowgirls, with Mason Page and Pradeep Kumar capping the fast section for the Cowboys.
Down in Norman at the Owen Hewett Invitational, the field event groups will be opening their seasons. 2025 NCAA Outdoor Long Jump runner-up Blair Anderson is kicking off his final season in the orange and black in the Long Jump. On the women's side, All-Americans Olivija Vaitaityte and Annie Molenhouse (unattached) will also be opening up in multiple events.
