STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team returned home and battled past Colorado, earning a 63-56 win over Colorado on Sunday afternoon in front of 2,597 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The Cowgirls improved to 14-4 and 3-2 in league play, while the Buffaloes dipped to 11-6 and 2-3.

Both teams struggled offensively in the first, combing for eight made field goals and 1i2 turnovers. OSU would get a jumper from Jadyn Wooten with 34 seconds left to lead, 12-10, through the first 10 minutes.

In the second, the Cowgirls scored 12 of the game's 18 points through the middle stretch to take a 29-23 lead with 2:32 to go. CU would score the only two points the rest of the way to trim OSU's lead to four at the break.

The Buffaloes would start the third on an 8-0 run to take a four-point lead three minutes into the period.

With the Cowgirls clinging to a 37-35 lead, Micah Gray drilled a 3-pointer to push the margin back to five. However, the Buffaloes would once again score the period's closing points to knot the score at 42 apiece.

CU would take a 49-45 lead with six minutes to go in the game before Stailee Heard hit a trey and Wooten drilled a 3-pointer of her own to push OSU back in front. Wooten would add another jumper and Achol Akot would hit a layup to extend OSU's lead to 55-49 with less than three minutes to go.

OSU would make five of its six free-throw attempts in the final 30 seconds to seal the win.

Heard would finish with 21 and eight rebounds, while Gray added 15 points and Wooten had 11.
