Nijkamp Falls in ITA All-American Championships

Cary, N.C. – Rose Marie Nijkamp of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team fell short in the Round of 16 of the singles main draw of the ITA All-American Championships on Friday in Cary, North Carolina.
After two wins in two days, including an upset victory over No. 8 Maria Sholokhova, Nijkamp fell to No. 14 Irina Balus from Duke, 4-6, 5-7.
On Saturday, Nijkamp will compete in the Round of 16 of the singles main draw consolation bracket, with her matchup and match start time still to be determined. The two singles main draw consolation bracket finalists will qualify for November's NCAA Individual Championships in Orlando, Florida.
