April 08, 2025 | Cowgirl Tennis
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team moved up one spot to No. 19 in this week's ITA team rankings that were released on Tuesday.
The Cowgirls are in the midst of a nine-match win streak that has them at 16-6 on the season and 10-1 in conference play. OSU is coming off home victories over Utah and No. 55 BYU last week, which gave it at least 10 conference wins for the second consecutive season and fourth time in program history.
In the individual rankings, Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp remained in the top 10 in doubles at No. 9. In singles, Komar appeared at No. 65, while Gracie Epps came in at No. 70, Marcela Lopez at No. 115 and Nijkamp at No. 121, marking her first career appearance in the singles rankings.
Komar and Nijkamp are up to 17-2 this season with a 9-0 mark against Big 12 opponents. The pair has played every match together this season on court one and has collected five ranked wins along the way. Individually, Komar is 12-6 with wins in seven of eight and is 11-2 at the No. 2 position.
Epps got the weekend off in singles and remains 13-5 and 8-1 in Big 12 play, while Lopez is 6-6 after getting a win over her former team on Thursday against Utah. Nijkamp is 14-1 with an 11-match win streak, and she continues to lead all Big 12 freshman in singles dual wins after adding two more last week.
Oklahoma State will wrap up its regular season schedule this weekend with trips to face No. 39 Kansas on Friday and No. 65 Iowa State on Sunday.
