Cowgirl Softball falls to No. 11 Arizona

With the loss, the Cowgirls dropped to 23-10 overall and 5-4 in the Big 12. The Wildcats improved to 32-7 overall and 9-5 in the conference.
The Cowgirls jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning after an RBI single from Tia Warsop and a two-run double from Karli Godwin.
Arizona scored singular runs in the bottom of the first and second innings to get back in the game.
OSU extended its advantage to 4-2 in the third when Amanda Hasler blasted a home run over the batter's eye in center field for her ninth homer of the season.
The Wildcats tied the game with a pair of runs in their half of the third, then exploded for six runs in the fourth, highlighted by a Sydney Stewart grand slam.
Arizona ended the game via run rule in the fifth with back-to-back RBI singles from Emily Schepp and Miranda Stoddard.
OSU threw four pitchers in the contest. Katie Kutz took the loss, falling to 7-4 on the year. Stoddard picked up the win for the Wildcats, improving to 8-0.
Offensive standouts for the Cowgirls included Godwin (2-for-3 with two RBIs) and Hasler (1-for-2 with a home run).
