Epps Named to All-Big 12 Tournament Team

IRVING, Texas – Gracie Epps of Oklahoma State's women's tennis team was named to the All-Big 12 Tournament Team at the No. 5 singles position, the conference announced on Wednesday.
The sophomore went 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles to help OSU to its 11th trip to the semifinals in the last 12 conference tournaments. Epps is 17-5 in singles on the year with a 10-1 mark in Big 12 play, and she'll enter the NCAA Tournament on a nine-match win streak.
In Oklahoma State's quarterfinal win over No. 35 Arizona State, Epps got her work done in straight sets, defeating Aiya Nupbay, 6-3, 7-5. In doubles, she and partner Melisa Ercan got the first of two wins towards the point, beating Nupbay and Emilija Tverijonaite, 6-2.
Against No. 22 UCF, the Cowgirls trailed by a point before Epps rallied to defeat Olivia Bergler, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, and get OSU back in the match, tying things at three.
Oklahoma State is now 19-7 on the season and is looking ahead to the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament, set to take place May 3-4 at campus sites. The NCAA Tournament selection show is scheduled to be broadcast on April 28 at 4 p.m. CT on NCAA.com.
