Cowboy Wrestling Signs Top-Ranked Recruiting Class
November 12, 2025 | Cowboy Wrestling
STILLWATER – Head coach David Taylor and the Oklahoma State wrestling program announced its top-ranked 2025 signing class Wednesday, adding seven wrestlers to the Cowboy program.
David Taylor has compiled a top-ranked recruiting class and a second-ranked class in his first two seasons with the program, according to FloWrestling's rankings.
The Cowboys lead the nation with four signees ranked inside FloWrestling's top 10, including No. 2 Jax Forrest, No. 4 Dreshaun Ross, No. 5 Jordyn Raney and No. 6 Jayden Raney. For reference, no other recruiting class has more than one wrestler inside the top 10.
2025 World team member and U23 World Champion, Jax Forrest (133/141), headlines the loaded 2026 class. Forrest became the youngest Team USA member since 1974 after defeating World Champion Vito Arujau at Final X. At the World Championships, Forrest fell just shy of medaling, as he dropped a back-and-forth match for the bronze medal. Forrest also holds a 2025 U.S Open Championship and a Pan-American Championships gold medal.
Other top 10 signees include Dreshaun Ross (HWT), Jordyn Raney (149) and Jadyen Raney (133). Ross, an Iowa native, heads into his senior season aiming to become just the second wrestler in the history of his high school to win four state championships. Ross qualified for the U17 World team two years ago and is also an accomplished football player. The Raney brothers, who are twins, have nine combined state titles between them. In the state tournament last season, both pinned all five of their opponents. Jayden has also excelled in Greco-Roman, tallying a Pan-American Championships gold medal, as well as a U.S. Open championship.
Michael "Mikey" White (184/197) and Rocklin Zinkin (125/133) round out the top 100 rankings at No. 36 and No. 100, respectively. White recently flipped his commitment from Minnesota to the Cowboys after his visit earlier this year. The Indiana native placed third at the Fargo National Championships and seventh at the U17 U.S. Open Championships, despite not starting to wrestle until high school. Zinklin took gold at the Fargo National Championships and also took home the Super 32 Challenge title. He won a state title as a sophomore wrestling at Buchanan High School.
Brother of OSU NCAA champion Dean Hamiti Jr. and current Cowboy wrestler Jake Hamiti, Luke Hamiti rounds out the star-studded recruiting class. Hamiti made the move to Stillwater from Joliet, Illinois, last year and will wrestle for the Pioneers this season. Hamiti logged third and fifth-place finishes at the last two Illinois state tournaments.
