October 10, 2025 | Cowgirl Soccer
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State dropped a 2-1 contest to Kansas State Friday night at Neal Patterson Stadium.
With the loss, the Cowgirls fell to 4-8-2 overall and 0-5-1 in the Big 12, while K-State is now 6-4-3 and 1-3-2 in league play.
Sonora DeFini scored for OSU, while Logan Marks recorded seven saves against a Wildcats' attack that posted 25 shots and recorded 10 corner kicks.
The Cowgirls jumped out to an early lead on a goal by DeFini just 3:34 into the match. Sandrine Brault delivered a cross into the box that deflected off the K-State keeper's hands, and DeFini was there to collect the ball and deliver it to the far post for her fourth goal of the season.
Marks helped keep the lead intact as she tallied four first-half saves against a K-State attack that recorded 14 shots prior to intermission.
OSU's lead held until the 67th minute. After the Cowgirls were whistled for a handball in the box, Hannah Palmer stepped up and converted the penalty kick to make the score 1-1.
Palmer would strike again in the 72nd minute as she connected on a shot from 12-yards out to put the visitors on top for the first time.
OSU returns to action Thursday when it hosts UCF at Neal Patterson Stadium.
