January 31, 2025 | General
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State student-athletes are participating in a Big 12 Conference initiative that honors the words of the late Maya Angelou during Black History Month – "If you're going to live, leave a legacy. Make a mark on the world that can't be erased."
Student-athletes from schools around the Big 12 will also participate as a way of inspiring alumni, students and athletes to take ownership of their legacy.
Throughout February, Angelou's words will be seen on special shooting shirts worn by the Cowboy and Cowgirl Basketball teams and on signage visible in various locations in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Fans will hear from the next generation - OSU student-athletes - across a variety of platforms as they carry forward a legacy of excellence into the future.
