Cowgirl Tennis Up to No. 3 in ITA Rankings

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team rose to No. 3 in the ITA Division I rankings that were released on Wednesday.
The Cowgirls are 5-0 for the second consecutive season, getting wins over Clemson and Arkansas as part of ITA Kickoff Weekend last Saturday and Sunday to extend their regular season win streak to 31. OSU also punched its ticket to the ITA Indoor National Championships, where it will defend its title in Chicago, Illinois, beginning on Feb. 7.
Georgia and Texas A&M are the only teams ranked ahead of Oklahoma State, with the Cowgirls moving above Stanford after having been ranked No. 4 last week. Three other Big 12 teams appeared in this week's poll, with UCF coming in at No. 20, Texas Tech at No. 23 and Baylor at No. 25.
OSU will now turn its attention to No. 10 Auburn for its road opener on Saturday at noon before preparing for the ITA Indoor National Championships the following weekend.
