Cowgirl Tennis Remains Fourth in ITA Rankings

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team remained at No. 4 in the ITA team rankings that were released on Tuesday.
The Cowgirls went 3-0 with three sweeps to open their season last Wednesday and Saturday, beating Wyoming, Southeast Missouri State and Texas State. The wins extended OSU's streak in regular season matches to 29 and marked the first time it has opened the season with three sweeps since 2017.
Georgia, Texas A&M and Stanford are the only teams ranked ahead of Oklahoma State, with Virginia, UCLA, Duke, Michigan, North Carolina and NC State rounding out the top 10. UCF is the only other Big 12 team in the rankings, appearing at No. 23.
OSU is preparing to host Clemson, Arkansas and SMU as part of ITA Kickoff Weekend this Saturday and Sunday at the Greenwood Tennis Center. The Cowgirls will open against Clemson on Saturday at 12 p.m. with Arkansas and SMU to face off at 3 p.m. The winners of Saturday's matches will play for a chance to advance to the ITA Indoor National Championships on Sunday at 2 p.m. while the losers will play a consolation match at 11 a.m.
