January 13, 2025 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team debuted at No. 4 in the Softball America Preseason Top 25, it was announced today.
The Cowgirls are the highest of four Big 12 Conference teams in the poll.
The Pokes welcome back two-thirds of last year's roster – including five NFCA All-Region performers – after reaching a fifth-consecutive Women's College World Series in 2024. Head coach Kenny Gajewski also added to the fray with the second-best transfer class in the nation, according to Softball America.
The 2025 preseason ranking is the second-highest preseason ranking in program history and marks the eighth-straight year that OSU starts the season in the top 25, further cementing its place among the sport's elite programs. A closer look at the evidence:
The Cowgirls open the season against Florida State at 10 a.m. CT on February 6 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.
