Cowgirl Softball Claims 11-1 Exhibition Win Over Central Arkansas

STILLWATER —The Oklahoma State softball team claimed an 11-1 exhibition win over Central Arkansas in 10 innings on Saturday at Cowgirl Stadium.
Megan Delgadillo led the way for OSU, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a two-run home run in the ninth. That marked her first home run in an OSU uniform, and the first home run of the Cowgirls' fall season.
Among the six different pitchers the Pokes threw, Ruby Meylan was the standout. She collected four strikeouts in two hitless innings.
The offense totaled 14 hits, nine RBIs and nine walks. Eight different Cowgirls got a hit in the game, while five batters had multiple hits.
OSU gave up a run in the first but responded with four of their own in the bottom of the frame. The Cowgirls scored singular runs in the fifth and sixth, followed by a pair of runs in the seventh. The final runs were highlighted by Delgadillo's two-run homer in the ninth.
The fall exhibition schedule continues when the Cowgirls host Seminole State at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, in Cowgirl Stadium. Admission is free for all fans.
