Cowgirl Softball Opens Fall Exhibition Season with Win Against USAO

STILLWATER —Oklahoma State Softball had six different pitchers combine for a no-hitter in a 17-0 exhibition win in 10 innings over the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Thursday night at Cowgirl Stadium.
OSU rotated players throughout the game, with Ruby Meylan, Madison Hoffman, Rylee Crandall, Kathryn Ogg, Kyra Aycock and Katie Kutz splitting 10 innings of work near equally. The pitchers totaled 13 strikeouts, allowing only two walks in the shutout.
The Pokes offense started off hot, scoring 10 runs in the first three frames. 15 different Cowgirls got at least one at bat in the contest, with 12 different Cowgirls tabbing a hit. The offense continued throughout the game, adding a pair of runs in the fifth, a singular run in the seventh and the final four in the ninth inning.
Tia Warsop and Rosie Davis were the standouts for OSU, both going 2-for-3 with Warsop bringing three runners home. Davis recorded two doubles with two RBIs.
The fall exhibition schedule continues when the Cowgirls host Central Arkansas at noon on Saturday, Sept. 28, in Cowgirl Stadium. Admission is free for all fans.
