Cowgirl Golf completes first round at Schooner Fall Classic

Norman, Okla. – The Oklahoma State women's golf team finished the first round of the Schooner Fall Classic in 14th place on Saturday at Belmar Golf Club.
Counting the top four scores in the lineup, the Cowgirl lineup shot a 13-over, 293 to finish six strokes out of the top 10 and 20 behind first-place Auburn.
The Cowgirls were led by freshman Rylee Roberts, who made her debut at the collegiate level and shot a 72 (+2), placing her in a tie for 37th. Another freshman, Lucy Darr shot the lowest score of her four career rounds with a 4-over 74.
Thitaporn Saithip closed out her day with a 73 (+3) and enters Sunday in 50th place. Ellie Bushnell and Grace Kilcrease rounded out the team scoring, both shooting 74 (+4).
Freshman Summer Lee competed as an individual and fired a one-over 71, the lowest of her young career. Sophomore Sammie Miller, also competing as an individual, landed in 80th place after signing off on a 77 (+7)
The Oklahoma State women's golf team will be back in action tomorrow for round two, beginning with Miller's 9 a.m. CT tee time.
