STILLWATER- Oklahoma State's women's tennis team announced its fall schedule on Friday, highlighted by the NCAA Individual Championships in November.
Â
The Cowgirls will return to the Battle of the Bay in San Francisco, Calif., for the third consecutive year from Sept. 21-24. They'll follow that with trips to Manhattan, Kan., for the KSU Wildcat Invite on Sept. 20-22 and Cary, N.C., for the ITA All-American Championships from Sept. 21-29.
Â
After that will be the ITA Central Region Championships in Memphis, Tenn., from Oct. 9-14. Ange Oby Kajuru will defend her singles title in the tournament after having bested teammate Anastasiya Komar in the final a year ago.
Â
The Cowgirls will then look forward to a pair ITF Pro Circuit events to round out the month, first playing in the Jackson 15k in Jackson, Tenn., on Oct. 14-20 before traveling to the Norman 25k on Oct. 28-Nov. 3.
Â
Two tournaments that will feature Cowgirls will take place from Nov. 7-10: the ITA Super Regional Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich., and the ITA Masters in San Diego, Calif. These two events will present opportunities for players to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships later in the month.
Â
Oklahoma State will round out its fall slate with the NCAA Individual Championships in Waco, Texas, from Nov. 18-23. This is the first time the individual championships will be held in the fall, and they were hosted at the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater last May.
Â
Ange Oby Kajuru, Anastasiya Komar and Lucia Peyre all qualified for last season's NCAA Individual Championships, with Kajuru advancing to the Sweet 16 of the singles draw. Kajuru and Komar also made the Elite 8 of the doubles bracket in May and enter this fall as the nation's top ranked doubles pairing.
