STILLWATER, Okla. – Five Oklahoma State women's golfers were named to the 2024 Spring Academic All-Big 12 Team, the league announced on Tuesday.
Ashton Begley, Maddison Hinson-Tolchard, Clemence Martin, Jenna Solheim and Angelica Pfefferkorn each garnered First-Team selections, with Begley and Pfefferkorn being nominated with a 4.0 GPA.
To be selected for the honor, student-athletes must have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA in the spring, while the second team members held a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
Oklahoma State co-led the conference with its five selections, tying Baylor, UCF, Kansas, Kansas State and Texas in the honor. Cowgirl Golf has led or co-lead the conference in All-Big 12 Team selections for each of the past three seasons, while head coach Greg Robertson has guided the program to 21 total Academic Big-12 selections over the past four years.
In all, 81 Cowgirls have been named to an Academic All-Big 12 Team since the conference's first selections in 1997.
Hinson-Tolchard, who graduated in applied exercise science in May, notched her third straight Academic All-Big 12 selection, receiving the accolade after earning WGCA All-American Scholar honors on Monday. Adding to her trio of Academic All-Big 12 nods, the EPSON Tour professional exits the league with an assortment of hardware including Big 12 Player of the Year in 2022 and 2023, Big 12 Individual Champion honors in 2023 and three straight All-Big 12 First Team placements.
Fifth-year golfers Begley and Solheim were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team for the first time in their careers, with Begley graduating with degrees in marketing and history and Solheim completing her MBA.
Pfefferkorn, who earned her degree in nutritional science/pre-med, also notched her first Academic All-Big 12 selection. The senior from Carmel, Indiana, received the honor after posting a 4.0 GPA at OSU and receiving the prestigious NCAA Elite 90 Award at the 2024 NCAA Championships.
Martin collected back-to-back selections as the rising senior is set to complete her degree in international business.
