Hinson-Tolchard, Pfefferkorn Collect CSC Academic All-District Honors

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State women's golf seniors Maddison Hinson-Tolchard and Angelica Pfefferkorn have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams, it was announced today.
Recognized as one of the top awards for student-athletes, the CSC Academic All-District Teams are awarded for combined performances in competition and in the classroom. Nominees must carry at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore academically or athletically and have participated in at least 70% of the team competitions throughout the year.
CSC Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Hinson-Tolchard was selected as an CSC Academic All-America finalist, and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. The CSC Academic All-America Team will be announced on July 16.
Hinson-Tolchard, who closed her historic career in Stillwater in May, earned the nod after graduating with a degree in applied exercise science while starting in 10 events during the season. Hinson-Tolchard reached for the record books in her senior season, logging the program's sixth-lowest single-season scoring average in program history at 71.47 while adding 18 par-or-better rounds and three top 10 finishes – a trio of efforts punctuated by a third-place solo finish at the NCAA East Lansing Regional.
The Perth, Australia native, who debuted on the EPSON Tour this month, also left Stillwater holding the program record in par-or-better rounds (72) and 60s rounds (26) while placing second in career birdies (381).
Pfefferkorn notched the honor following a senior campaign that saw her start in 11 tournaments after starting just one in her first three seasons with the program. The native of Carmel, Indiana, graduated with a degree in nutritional sciences pre-med in May and, after posting a perfect 4.0 GPA at OSU, received the prestigious NCAA Elite 90 Award at the 2024 NCAA Championships.
