Cowgirl Softball Climbs to Consensus Top-Three Team

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team rose in the national rankings following the conclusion of Big 12 play. The Cowgirls are ranked No. 2 by ESPN.com/USA Softball and No. 3 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll. OSU also comes in at No. 8 in the NCAA RPI rankings based on its wins, losses, and strength of schedule.

Over the weekend, OSU took two of three games from No. 2 Oklahoma at Love's Field, winning the first two games 6-3 and 6-2, respectively. With that series win, OSU holds series victories over two of the top four teams in the nation (Texas and OU).
Oklahoma State heads to the Big 12 Tournament as the No. 3 seed this week where it will open against BYU at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, at OGE Field at Devon Park.
