Cowgirls Remain Atop ITA Rankings Entering NCAA Tournament

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team made it 12-consecutive weeks as the nation's top program in Thursday's ITA rankings.
The Cowgirls are 27-0 on the season and captured Big 12 regular season and tournament championships in the same season for the first time since 2016. OSU was announced as the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history on Monday and will host a regional in Stillwater this weekend for the first time since 2022.
Individually, five Cowgirls and two doubles pairings appeared in this week's rankings. Ange Oby Kajuru once again led the way at No. 3 in the singles rankings, followed by Anastasiya Komar at No. 18, Lucia Peyre at No. 46, Safiya Carrington at No. 72 and Ayumi Miyamoto at No. 84.
In the doubles rankings, Komar and Kajuru slotted at No. 3 while Komar and Raquel Gonzalez came in at No. 37.
Oklahoma State will open its NCAA Tournament with a match against the MAAC Champion Fairfield on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Greenwood Tennis Center. With a win, the Cowgirls would face the winner of Alabama and SMU on Sunday.
