Kajuru, Komar Set to Compete in NCAA Individual Championships

STILLWATER – Ange Oby Kajuru and Anastasiya Komar of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team will compete in the NCAA Individual Championships at the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater beginning on Monday.
Komar will be making her second appearance in both the NCAA singles and doubles championships, while Kajuru will be making her debut in both draws.
Kajuru earned the No. 3 overall seed in the 64-player field and will open play at 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon against No. 33 Emma Charney from USC. Kajuru went 20-3 during the OSU dual season and finished the year on a 16-match win streak.
Komar drew an at-large bid into the singles bracket and will face No. 21 Victoria Allen of Florida State at 2 p.m. on Monday. Komar went 13-7 on the season with six ranked wins, all coming from the No. 1 singles position for Oklahoma State.
As a pairing, Kajuru and Komar are the No. 2 seed in the 32-team doubles draw and will open play against the 21st-ranked duo of Carol Lee and Kate Sharabura from Georgia Tech on Tuesday with the match time still to be determined.
The OSU tandem went 19-4 on the season at the No. 1 spot including a 7-1 record against ranked opponents while finishing the season on an eight-match win streak.
