Cowgirls Still No. 1 Entering Regular Season Finale

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team ranked first in Tuesday's ITA Division I rankings, making it nine-consecutive weeks at the top spot.
The Cowgirls are now a record-setting 23-0 on the season, including a 12-0 mark in conference play. OSU is coming off wins over Houston and No. 55 UCF, setting a new program record for conference wins in a season with 12, along with completing a perfect record in road matches at 7-0.
In the individual singles rankings, Ange Oby Kajuru appeared at No. 4 while Anastasiya Komar came in at No. 12, Lucia Peyre at No. 56, Safiya Carrington at No. 73 and Ayumi Miyamoto at No. 79. In doubles, Kajuru and Komar ranked at No. 5 while Komar and Raquel Gonzalez slotted at No. 26.
Going by the latest team rankings, Oklahoma State's resume includes wins this season over No. 2 Michigan (twice), No. 3 Stanford, No. 7 Pepperdine, No. 8 Texas (twice), No. 14 Auburn, No. 15 UCLA, No. 16 Ohio State and No. 20 Oklahoma.
Along with OSU, eight other Big 12 teams appeared in the top-75: No. 8 Texas, No. 20 Oklahoma, No. 27 Texas Tech, No. 34 Baylor, No. 40 TCU, No. 44 BYU, No. 54 Kansas and No. 55 UCF.
The Cowgirls will now prepare for senior day festivities this Sunday as they take on Kansas State to conclude their regular season schedule.
