Cowgirl Soccer Weathers The Storm In Win Against Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. - Oklahoma State's second-half defense held strong en route to a 2-1 road win over Tulsa Monday night.
With the win, the Cowgirls improved to 3-0 on the spring exhibition season.

Tulsa's Quinn Turner scored in the 16th minute to give the Hurricanes an early 1-0 advantage, but lead was short-lived as Mollie Breiner headed in the equalizer off a beautiful Laudan Wilson corner kick in the 26th minute. The goal was Breiner's second of the spring season.

Minutes later, Xcaret Pineda tacked on another goal from 35 yards out to give the Pokes a 2-1 lead. Pineda has a team-high five goals on the spring.

Goalie Grace Gordon's two saves kept Tulsa off the board in the second half and secured the Cowgirls' victory.

The Cowgirls will be back in action Saturday at Neal Patterson Stadium when they take on Oral Roberts at 7 p.m.
